About Us
Who are we?
Dréimire was founded to provide Irish language services to companies, organisations and to the community in Ireland and across the world. Since then, we have been providing excellent translation, reviewing and voice-over services to a wide range of customers including state organisations, public and private companies, advertising agencies, Gaeltacht and Irish language organisations, charities, the voluntary sector, individuals and larger translation agencies in Europa, America and Japan.
As well as our translation and review service, Dréimire also provides consultation, facilitation and language planning services to companies and organisations operating in language contact situations. Our team has expert knowledge in this field, and can advise you on various matters including the Official Languages Act, Language Impact Statements for developments, international best practice for minority and minoritised languages, and much more.

Meet the Team!
Hannah Ní Dhoimhín

Hannah is a language planning consultant and accredited translator.
Before joining Dréimire, Hannah spent nearly 10 years working in the language planning field in Ireland, preparing language plans for Gaeltacht communities and other non-Gaeltacht areas, and she regularly gives talks on language planning theory and practice.
Her publications include:
- Language Plan for Gaoth Dobhair, Anagaire, Rann na Feirste and Loch an Iúir, 2016
- Language Plan for the Meath Gaeltacht, 2018
- Aithníonn an Fhuil a Chéile, a translation of Roddy Doyle's 'Not Just for Christmas', 2023
Hannah has a BA in Irish and French and a Masters in Language Studies, specialising in Language Planning, as well as the Foras na Gaeilge Seal of Accreditation for Translators and a qualification in Language Coaching in the Workplace. She has a special interest in the field of language acquisition, specifically the intergenerational transmission of minority languages.
Áine Uí Dhonnghaile

Áine is a native Irish speaker from An Cheathrú Rua (Connemara Gaeltacht area in Galway) originally. Áine joined our team in Dréimire as a full-time translator in 2023 although she had been working externally in a freelance capacity since Dréimire was founded in 2020.
She has been working as a freelance translator since 2009 when she completed a Masters degree in Translation Studies from University of Galway and subsequently a Higher Certificate in the Translation of Legal and State Documents from ATU (then known as GMIT). She initially completed an undergradute degree in Irish and French from University of Galway and taught extensively at secondary and third level before she began translating.
Áine has extensive knowledge of the CAT tools (including memoQ, Phrase, memsource and Trados) and an in-depth understanding of grammar and the Irish language. Áine is also a member of Association of Translators and Interpreters Ireland (ATII) formerly ITIA.
Our Panel
As well as our full-time staff, Dréimire works closely with a panel of 15 qualified translators to ensure a high-quality service and quick turnaround for our customers. This panel is a huge asset to Dréimire, as it means that we have a larger pool of industry-specific expertise and experience available, as well as having translators who can deal with all the major dialects as well as standard Irish.
